“Sowoeoreul Damda” Kits Provide Hygiene Products Worth KRW 20 Million to Young Women

Annual Support Since 2020 Totals KRW 114.5 Million

Alvogen Korea (CEO: Lee Jun-soo) announced on February 20 that it has donated hygiene products worth KRW 20 million to adolescent girls from underprivileged households through the non-profit organization Good People (Chairman: Kim Cheon-su). The support will be distributed to local children’s centers nationwide.

This initiative is part of Alvogen Korea’s Hellow CSR campaign, which aims to promote healthier lifestyles within local communities. The program was established to ensure access to essential hygiene supplies for adolescent girls facing economic hardship—helping to protect their basic health rights.

In light of the ongoing social issue of inadequate sanitary product access among vulnerable youth, the program was designed to uphold the universal health rights of young women and support their healthy development.

The Sowoeoreul Damda kits include 12 essential items such as sanitary pads, pouches, lip balm, hand cream, feminine washes, warm socks, and undergarments. The funding for the kits comes from voluntary employee contributions at Alvogen Korea.

Since 2020, Alvogen Korea has provided hygiene kits valued at over KRW 20 million each year through the Sowoeoreul Damda program. To date, the company has delivered hygiene and daily care products worth a cumulative KRW 114.5 million to adolescent girls in local communities via social welfare organizations.

Alvogen Korea CEO Lee Jun-soo stated, “We recognize our responsibility to protect and promote women’s health, and we hope this contribution will support adolescent girls who face financial challenges in accessing basic hygiene products. We remain committed to ensuring that all young women can enjoy their fundamental health rights, regardless of economic circumstances.”

Kim Cheon-su, Chairman of Good People, added, “The Sowoeoreul Damda kits have offered significant comfort and support to adolescent girls living in difficult situations over the past five years. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Alvogen Korea to help create a society where all young women can live healthy lives.”

Alvogen Korea launched the Hellow CSR brand in May 2019 to address community challenges and promote healthy lifestyles. Its initiatives include continuous donations of food supplies to low-income families to support children’s balanced growth.

Additionally, Alvogen Korea contributes to women’s well-being through its oral contraceptive Mercilon, which supports single mothers’ self-reliance and provides educational content on contraception and women’s health.
