‘Hellow’ Volunteer Program Provides Tangible Support to Underprivileged Communities and Strengthens Local Engagement
Alvogen Korea (CEO: Woo-se Lee) extended warmth to underprivileged members of the community through its annual Kimchi Sharing volunteer activity on November 14. This employee-led initiative, launched in 2013, has continued for 13 consecutive years.
The Kimchi Sharing activity is part of Alvogen Korea’s flagship corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, Hellow Kitchen, organized by the company’s internal CSR group More Son in partnership with the Dimode Children’s Center in Seoul. Volunteers—including both club members and employees—prepared approximately 200 portions of kimchi. The kimchi was then delivered to welfare institutions that support economically vulnerable individuals, including social assistance recipients and senior care facilities.
Every year, Alvogen Korea carries out a variety of CSR initiatives, including the Kimchi Sharing program, to provide practical support that meets the daily needs of those in welfare blind spots. By actively involving employees in hands-on volunteer activities, the company fosters a genuine culture of giving while deepening meaningful ties with the local community.
Jung Hye-sun, Director of the Dimode Children’s Center, remarked, “We are grateful to the Alvogen Korea employees who share their warmth with us every year. The carefully prepared kimchi offers meaningful support to the children and local seniors, making it a heartfelt contribution that goes beyond simple assistance.”
CEO Woo-se Lee stated, “The 13-year tradition of Kimchi Sharing reflects Alvogen Korea’s commitment to supporting neighbors in need and our responsibility toward the community. We will continue striving to grow alongside our local communities and contribute to a society where everyone can live healthy lives through sincere and impactful CSR activities.”
